With Mobile number portability to start today, here’s how you can shift from your current service provider to a new one.
Send an SMS from your phone to 1900. Your present company will reply with a unique porting code. Use that code while filling out a detailed form for the company you want to shift to. Within 48 hours, that company will take over all your cell services. The fee charge may cost you about Rs 19.
Your cell number will be switched off for only one hour. All bills after that are paid to your new company. You’ll be stuck with them for at least 50 days before you can shift again, so choose with care. While you can shift from a GSM service to CDMA or vice versa, you cannot shift from one state to another.
Update:- More on Mobile Number Portability here
Well, what can i say about this nice looking design to the blog. This most likely will be the start of more frequent and active blogging from me.
For those in 1024 resolution, you will not see the beach on the side.. But those with bigger monitors, should be able to see the Marina Beach
The design is inspired by the recent Tamil movie Madrasapattinam and is themed around the pre 1950’s look.
We have the Old Madras Central Railway Station, Marina Beach, Ripon Building, Cooum river while it was a river and the Marina Beach with the fishing boats.
The design is by Miner and coded by Girendra.
As i type this, it is 2.19am and while some might call me mad, insane and what not, i am awake, wide awake.
Sometimes you find your eureka moment when you least expect it and at the oddest of hours in the oddest of oddest scenario and it happens to be that time for me…
The last few days has been a crazy time – chaos, confusion, happiness, heartbreak, elation, joy to everything else… But after a storm comes the beautiful clear skies and likewise after undergoing all those in the last few days, there is clarity and one that might actually make me want to enjoy life much more than before!
I don’t think i can put it in words, each one’s eureka moment is dependent on the choices they make and the kind of life/desires they have. It is always unique and one that is just yours. No one knows how it comes, but when it comes you will know it for sure… Deep within you, all of a sudden, you will find a spark/a moment of happiness that holds the power to transform your lives, if you want to.
No one knows when this moment will come, but whenever it does, just be prepared for it! and Good Luck!
It’s not the same anymore. The desire to keep blogging is not there at all and i am much more at ease with Facebook status updates or Twitter updates than make time to write lengthy posts about nothing.
Maybe at some point in time, i might find the desire once again, but right now, there is a lot of other things that have taken priority and sadly keeping this place updated is not one of them.
It’s just a phase that i am going through, i suppose… But whatever it is, i am alive in Facebook, so meet me there if you want to.
Adios!
I know, its been a while since… blame it on Facebook, its much easier to post status updates than post a blog these days. But let me catch up on a tagging game that Sansmerci has tagged me.
The rules are you post the award and 10 things about you and tag back the blogger who gave you the award.
Not in any order.
- I think a lot, i mean a lot… something or the other just keeps running inside. This is primarily to get some writing material for my poems, but at times it can be so random that it can even be a time waster.
- I don’t talk much. I am more of the listening type. So people assume i am the shy type, which is fine with me. Even at home, i don’t talk to people much. i am just myself most of the times.
- I have 6 tattoos now and hopefully i will finish the collection of 9 tattoos soon.
- Most of the time
At timesi don’t know what i want. When i sit down to take stock, i become overly confused about everything including me. - I love kids as long as they are nice.
- Whatever i need to do, i give 60 seconds to my heart and if it feels right, I’ll go and do it, Whatever it might be.
- I love a peaceful, quiet surroundings.
There’s another 5 things that i posted way back in 2006. Here’s the link – 5 things about me
There’s a lot more that i can say, but i just don’t have the desire to blog that much… That reminds me i need to figure a way out to convert this to a Twitter/Facebook status message type. The blog thing is boring and i need to make time for it.
