Text Link Ads Review
I have this habit of testing out a lot of affiliate programs, affiliate networks and text link brokers for my various sites. I dont stick with a lot of them simply because of “hard” control panel or because of “scraper” ads or just didnt like them at all.
I do have my Trusted networks and these are those with whom ihave been associated for a long time and from where i have received regular prompt payments and One of them is Text Link Ads
Instead of showing ads based on the content , Text Link Ads brokers text ads on your site for a flat monthly rate which is then split 50% with them. All the Ads are Direct and without any redirect so that you can receive SEO benefit from them and you can choose from a variety of Publishing options and you can customize the way the links look as well :).
And if you are an advertiser, then you have a lot of quality websites in there to advertise on as well
So, what are you waiting for Check them out Text Link Ads
Finally, some disclosure

2007 - What to expect
2006 was a fantastic year for me in all regards.
In Jan, I left England permanently to settle down in Chennai, India.
Feb saw the birth of a community forum which was conceived way back in 2004.
The early part of 2007 will mostly be a time of consolidation. I wouldnt be very active in the Marketplace buying websites like i did in 06 (unless something nice comes up). Rather than having a large number of sites, i will be looking at having a few sites and establishing them in their segments.
I had closed down couple of sites in Dec 06 and this might continue into 07 as well.
Mid 2007 will probably see me put some ideas into action and start some sites based on it. I already have the domains for these and lack of time was the reason for not doing so in 06.
And some sites which will be more of a personal project rather than a commercial one :). Again i have almost everything in place except Time ![]()

5 Things you didnt know about Praveen
Its that time of the Year where i have been tagged by Steven and Jim Westergren
- Not many actually know it, but i am very very bad at socializing. I have avoided many a family occasions, parties, corporate events etc… . The number of friends i have offline is far far less than my online friends. Infact i have only 10-15 friends offline and only 2-3 with whom i actually spend time with
and I prefer to send emails and instant messages to people around and close to me rather than walking up to them and conversing. Because of this, i never have any luck with girls and after my last relationship, i have intentionally avoided getting into another one and simply avoided girls in general
- I have 3 Tattoos. 1 in upper left Arm and 2 in the Other.
- I was the worst student in my class and Many are surprised at what i have achieved so far and where i am in Life in general.
- I have this “fascination” for things related to Paranormal, Aliens and other things of mystery. I always believe(d) that Human Beings never belonged to Earth and we are refugees from somewhere else. And Pyramids, Atlantis and all other Ancient Things have been created by an entity far superior than us.
- I can be very very impatient and stubborn at times which has caused many hassles and troubles professionally and personally.
Thats it;
Who’s next: TimSchroeder, Dan, Prashanth

Internet Advertising Booms!!!
according to a report from the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
The IAB and PwC reported the numbers yesterday from the MIXX Conference and Expo. Internet advertising revenues for the US were approximately $7.9 billion, a new record and a 37% increase over the first half of 2005.
In the second quarter alone, revenues totaled nearly $4.1 billion, representing a 36% increase over same period 2005, and a 5.5% increase over Q1 2006.
Greg Stuart, CEO of IAB, indicated that interactive Internet capabilities were becoming crucial in the marketing world as businesses look to maximize search, broadband, lead generation, behavioral targeting, consumer-generated content and, eventually, mobile and iPTV.
“The latest results reaffirm the Internet’s growing importance for marketers to integrate online advertising into their overall media plans,” said PwC’s David Silverman.
“While search advertising remains the largest format in terms of revenues, we expect to see new formats like video ads to continue to emerge as advertisers seek to leverage the branding opportunities afforded by the growing installed base of broadband users.”
“Internet advertising continues to reach new milestones, exceeding $4 billion in quarterly revenues for the first time, and on pace for another record year of revenues,” said Pete Petrusky of PwC.
“With the seventh consecutive quarter of growth behind us we are confident that the Internet will continue to reconcile the imbalances between its share of media consumption versus its relative share of total advertising spend.”

Yahoo ‘to buy Facebook for $1bn’
Internet search firm Yahoo is reported to be in talks to buy social networking website Facebook for $1bn (£527m). US-based Facebook, popular with students, has also held separate discussions with Microsoft and Viacom, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Facebook, which allows users to put up profiles of themselves, recently signed an advertising deal with Microsoft.
A similar such website, MySpace, was bought by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation for $580m last year.
Founded in February 2004, Facebook has quickly grown in popularity, and by the end of 2005 had more than 7.5 million users at US schools and colleges alone.
Neither Facebook nor Yahoo were immediately available for comment.
